Hunter Education

he Maryland Hunter Education Program, offered by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, equips aspiring hunters with essential knowledge and skills for safe and responsible hunting. The program includes comprehensive classroom instruction, hands-on field exercises, and a final exam. Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Competency in Firearms and Hunter Safety, which is required to purchase a hunting license in Maryland. The program emphasizes firearm safety, wildlife conservation, and ethical hunting practices to ensure a safe and enjoyable hunting experience.

Internet Field Days - You must complete the online course prior to the field day. White Hall field days are Saturdays 9am-1pm.

Handgun Qualification License #HQL

Required to purchase, rent, or otherwise receive a handgun in the state of Maryland. Learn the fundamentals of handgun shooting and firearms safety, personal protection basics, self-defense law, and more! 2.5 hours of classroom instruction + 1.5 hours of range time included. Team Grizzly provides guns and ammunition. Certificate awarded upon successful completion of the course.
